Sulibele faces plaint over Kharge remark
Kalaburagi, NT Bureau: Congress on Saturday registered a complaint against Yuva Brigade leader and Hindutva ideologue Chakravarthy Sulibele, accusing him of “disrespecting and humiliating” All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge.
The complaint was filed with the Kalaburagi Police Commissioner R Chetan by Kalaburagi District Congress president Jagadeva Guttedar.
Addressing a programme in Siravara in Raichur district, Sulibele had termed Kharge incompetent and alleged that he had constructed an Employees State Insurance (ESI) Hospital building in the shape of the letters of his last name, which is ‘kha’ in Kannada.
Congress claimed that the allegation was ludicrous and false, adding that it would disturb the peace.
A day prior, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) communications department vice president Ramesh Babu slammed Sulibele for his remarks.
