Bengaluru: A woman and her male friend have been booked by the city police for allegedly abetting the suicide of a 29-year-old private firm employee in the city.

On January 15, Anburajan, who was employed as a manager at an e-commerce company, was found dead at his rented accomodation in Parappana Agrahara here, following which the jurisdictional police had registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) in the matter.

However after checking the Call Data Records (CDR) from Anburajan's mobile phone, the police found several pieces of evidence which gave a twist to the case.

It was revealed that Anburajan was in a live-in relationship with a woman identified as Vidya, a divorcee, for a few months before his death.

However the woman allegedly started avoiding Anburajan and moved away from his house, ending the relationship.

A few days later Anburajan allegedly caught Vidya along with another man, identified as Santosh. Following an argument, he found that she was having an affair with the man.

Depressed at this, Anburajan allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his rented accomodation here. His parents registered an FIR against the woman and her friend and further investigation is on.
