Bengaluru: The Madanayakanahalli Police probing the recent murder case of a 30-yearold truck driver, nabbed three people including a couple in connection to the incident while two others are still on the run.

Around 2:30 am on February 2, the police had found the body of Srinivas, a truck driver, and a native of Chikkaballapura district, near APMC vegetable market in Bengaluru.

Investigating the matter, the police found stab injuries on the body and suspected it to be a murder case.

A footage from a CCTV camera showed three unidentified people along with Srinivas stopping at an isolated place near APMC vegetable market.

The assailants had dragged Srinivas a few meters away from the market where they allegedly stabbed him to death.

The matter first came to light when Manjunath Reddy, the owner of the truck which was driven by Srinivas, tracked the GPS location of the vehicle and reached the place.

The owner later filed a complaint with the police regarding the murder. A senior officer from Nelamangala Police Sub-division said that a team was formed to identify and nab the accused.

The CDR was obtained from Srinivas's mobile phone which led to the questioning of a woman named Rabia, following which two others were taken into custody, the official added.

The accused were identified as Nagendra Kumar, 27, a resident of Gowribidanur; Khaisar Pasha, 30 and his wife Rabia, 26, residents of Neelasandra in Bengaluru.

Following an interrogation it was revealed that Nagendra Kumar and the deceased Srinivas were in love with a woman named Manjula. In order to marry Manjula, Nagendra had plotted to eliminate Srinivas, and he sought help from Khaisar Pasha.

The police said that Pasha stole an auto-rickshaw which was used to abduct Srinivas and take him to the spot where the accused allegedly murdered him.

Meanwhile the police have procured information regarding Manjula and another accused Narayana Swamy, who are currently absconding.
