Stalker kills 15-yr old girl, attempts to end own life later

Kolar: In a heart-breaking event, a 15-year-old girl from Baraguru village in Kolar district fell victim to a brutal murder allegedly by an obsessive stalker recently.

Nitin, 23 is accused of ruthlessly ending the young girl's life, after his unceasing pursuit of the girl despite repeated refusals.

The unsettling sequence of events began with reports of Nitin's obsessive behaviour with the victim, which was shown in acts of harassment and molestation days before the fatal incident.

The victim’s plea for protection from parents and local authorities went answered. Talks to calm this situation didn’t help and instead escalated for the worst.

One day, the girl hadn’t reached home from school, prompting a frantic search by her distraught family.

Their worst fears were realized when her mortal remains were discovered in the remote bushes of Barahalli village near Hoskote, thanks to the vigilance of nearby residents.

The aftermath of the tragedy saw Nitin attempt to take his own life by inflicting severe self-harm, slashing his throat in a grim suicidal move. He was swiftly rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. He remains in a serious condition.
