Theatre, all forms of art remains a unifying force in society: Writer Jayanth Kaikini

Mysuru: Noted Kannada writer Jayanth Kaikini on Thursday said theatre, music, film, dance and all forms of arts will always remain a unifying force in society.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 24th edition of Bahuroopi Multilingual national theatre festival organized by Mysuru Rangayana at Kalamandir premises.

As theatre and art reflect society, these mediums still remain powerful expressions to portray societal issues.

It is the only medium which brings people of all castes and communities irrespective of identity together, he said.

While remembering theatre personality B V Karanth, Jayanth Kaikini said Rangayana is a powerful unifying place where people from all walks of life meet.
