Push back RSS-BJP govt: ASIA K'taka on CAA

NT Correspondent

Bengaluru: On Monday, the Narendra Modi administration officially announced the regulations for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), timed just before the initiation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) preceding the impending Lok Sabha elections.

Sharing the news on the social media platform X, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that Prime Minister Modi had fulfilled yet another commitment.

The All India Students Association Karnataka in response to this posted on their Instagram handle @asia. karnataka that they strictly oppose this move.

The post stated “Push back RSS BJP’s divisive and communal citizenship code. Reject the implementation of CAA,” with the hashtag #NOTOCAANPRNRC and Reject BJP.

The legislation aims to grant citizenship to Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Parsis who arrived in India on or before December 31, 2014, from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
