Bengaluru: Two women driving a car at night were allegedly harassed by a group of men on bikes on Sunday night.

The miscreants were arrested after the women dialled 112 (Namma helpline number).

It was learnt that the complainant, Priyam Singh, works in a private firm in Bengaluru.

Accompanied by her friend, she was returning from work and while driving from Madiwala signal towards Koramangala around 9:15 pm, three men riding on a scooter allegedly complained about Priyam Singh putting indicator on one side but moving in the opposite direction.

The accused who were identified as Jagannath, Tejas and Kannan, were riding a scooter.

They allegedly tried to stop the two women. Scared, the two women attempted to drive away, but the accused pursued them and tried to stop them.

The victims alleged that the accused even tried to pull open the door of the car following which they called the police control room for help.

Priyam Singh cried out for help while her friend recorded a video of the accused and noted down the registration number of the vehicle of the accused.

As the police reached the spot, the accused drove away from the place. The video clip helped the police track down two of the accused within a few hours.

Efforts are on to track down the third accused, police said. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) SouthEast Bengaluru, CK Baba said, "The women, while returning from work, had a dispute with the accused over putting an indicator while taking a turn. Upon interrogation, the accused claimed that the women hit their scooter and attempted to flee. However when we checked, there was no sign of any collision," he said.

A case has been registered against the three accused and we are verifying their background information.
