BBMP forest department urges residents to report dangerous trees

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Due to excess rain in Bengaluru in the past few days and the concretising of the city, there are increasing reports of trees withering and falling in public areas, causing damage to public and private property.

Fallen trees also lead to waterlogging and traffic congestion. The Forest Department of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is currently undertaking the task of clearing dry and dangerous trees and branches from roadsides and public spaces.

Residents of Bengaluru are urged to report any such hazards in their areas. The BBMP informed, “If you find any dry or dangerous trees or branches, please contact the BBMP Forest Department officials. You can also send a WhatsApp photo for better identification and faster response.”
