Advanced baggage scanners soon at four Soudha entrances
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: To further enhance security at the administrative centre of the state, the Karnataka government has procured advanced baggage scanners which will soon be installed at the four entrances of Vidhana Soudha in the city.
This move comes following concerns of security breach with people reportedly continuing to enter the building without a valid visitor's pass and sometimes even flaunting the names of officials or ministers to make their entry.
However from now on, visitors will be provided with a QR code-based pass without which they will not be allowed to enter Vidhana Soudha.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Friday said that without proper ID cards and documents, no one will be allowed to enter the premises.
