BBMP looks for community involvement in improving parks
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a bid to improve and beautify parks by involving citizen participation, the Horticulture department of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has invited applications from companies, individuals and other organisations in assisting the civic body in maintaining its many parks, on Thursday.
The applications also invited beautification of road medians, dividers and circles. This comes against the backdrop of State Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister D K Shivakumar’s announcement to keep parks open throughout the day.
This is done under its Community Involvement for Park Conservation Policy and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Those interested can register online on the Palike’s website by Saturday, June 29.
