One CEN station per district, cyber cases can be filed at all stations: Home Minister
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said that a large number of cyber crime cases are being registered due to the establishment of CEN (Cyber, Economics and Narcotics) stations in districts in the state.
Answering a question from Congress member Umashree, the Home Minister said that earlier, there were no CEN stations across the state.
Later, a CEN station was established in the district. There are a total of 43 CEN stations and everywhere, cases of cyber crime are registered and transferred to the CEN station. He said that so many cyber cases are being reported because there is an opportunity to file a case.
Any person who is cyber cheated, can also file a complaint at the law enforcement station. The post of ADGP has been created for the CEN section in the CID unit to specifically monitor cyber cases.
Recruitment has already started and as many staff as required will be trained and deployed. Cyber crime cases will not be allowed to increase for any reason. All kinds of measures are being taken in this regard, he said.
