Driving school trainer arrested for flashing
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a disturbing incident, the Basaveshwara Nagar police have arrested a driving trainer named Annappa for allegedly attempting to molest an 18-year-old woman under the pretext of providing driving lessons.
The incident has sparked outrage and highlighted concerns over the safety of women during such training sessions.
The complainant had completed her initial driving training at Annappa's driving school. Following this, Annappa offered her additional, “specialised” training in his own car for a fee of ?10,500, covering a period of 15 days. Trusting his professional demeanour, the young woman agreed to the offer.
However, the situation took a horrifying turn on the morning of July 7. While driving near the National Public School flyover, Annappa allegedly began to exhibit inappropriate behaviour, including exposing his private parts.
The girl, alarmed and distressed by his actions, managed to drive the car back to her house despite her panic. Upon reaching home safely, the woman lodged a formal complaint against Annappa at the Basaveshwara Nagar Police Station.
The police responded promptly, registering a case and arresting the accused. This swift action has been met with relief from the victim and her family, as well as the broader community.
