Fight over trivial reason leads to double suicide

NT Bureau, Bengaluru: Following a fight over a trivial reason, two lovers committed suicide on Thursday in Dattagalli in Jyoti Nagar in the city. Monika (20) and Manu (22), had been in a relationship for the past two years.

Monika was a resident of Mandakalli village, and Manu was from Jyotinagar. They were engaged to be married but recently, a disagreement led to a fight between them.

Distressed, Monika hanged herself in a house where she was working in Dattagalli. On learning about this, Manu rushed Monika to a hospital, but she was declared dead. A devastated Manu hanged himself.
