Major twist in girl's murder case in Koramangala PG
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a new twist in the murder case of a 24-year-old woman from Bihar, police now suspect that the victim, Kriti Kumari was killed by someone who was not an acquaintance, at her PG accommodation in Koramangala. Initially, police felt the assailant was Kriti's lover.
However, the police now suspect that the assailant is one Abhishek from Bhopal, who entered the PG around 11:10 pm on Tuesday with a knife.
He had reportedly been in a relationship with another woman who was his colleague at a company where they had both worked previously. Abhishek and his girlfriend had stayed in the same PG until he left his job and moved to Bhopal a few months ago.
Despite being unemployed, he frequently visited Bengaluru to see his girlfriend. She urged him to find a job in Bengaluru, but he falsely claimed to have secured one. When she discovered that he had lied to her, she tried to distance herself from him, leading to a strained relationshop, the police said.
Kriti, according to the police offered shelter to Abhishek's girlfriend, who moved in with her to elude Abhishek. However, a week ago, Abhishek reportedly learnt of the new PG of his girlfriend. Angered by his girlfriend’s refusal to speak to him, Abhishek decided to confront her.
He entered the PG and reached the third floor where he knocked on the door with the intention of killing his girlfriend, the police claimed. Tragically, Kriti answered the door, and Abhishek, without realizing that it it was not his girlfriend, attacked her.
He stabbed Kriti in the throat near her room leading to her death from severe bleeding. Contrary to initial reports, Abhishek was not Kriti’s lover or acquaintance. The Koramangala police are conducting an intensive search to apprehend Abhishek. A case has been registered at the station.
