NT Correspondent: Bengaluru In a new twist in the gruesome Mahalakshmi murder case which happened a few weeks back in the city, the accused, Mukti Ranjan Roy, who later committed suicide, has reportedly left behind a startling death note. Roy, who hanged himself in Odisha after allegedly committing the crime, has claimed, according to the police that he killed Mahalakshmi in selfdefense, asserting that "If I hadn’t killed her, Mahalakshmi would have killed me." The incident, which occurred in Vyalikaval police station limits, shocked the entire city when Mahalakshmi's body was discovered chopped into pieces and stored in a fridge at her residence.
