A woman has approached the City Police Commissioner, alleging that her husband is attempting to sacrifice their son in a witchcraft ritual and forced conversion. Vanajakshi, a resident of KR Puram, has filed a complaint against her husband, Adi Eshwar alias Saddam, and an accomplice known as Langda Nayaz. According to Vanajakshi, she married Adi Eshwar in 2020 following Hindu customs. However, shortly after their wedding, he began insisting on a Muslim marriage.

The accused reportedly remarried at an undisclosed location with the help of Langda Nayaz, changing his name to Saddam and her name to Sadia Kausar. Following this, he signed documents for their Muslim marriage certificate. The couple welcomed a son in July 2021. Vanajakshi claims that after the birth, Saddam began making threats to sacrifice their child through a witchcraft ritual known as "Kutty Puja" to improve their fortunes. He also allegedly threatened to harm Vanajakshi’s mother. In September, Saddam and Langda Nayaz attempted to kidnap her son near her mother’s house in Tumakuru.

Fortunately, neighbors intervened, allowing Vanajakshi to escape with her child. Despite reporting these threats at the KR Puram police station, she claims her complaint was not accepted. Vanajakshi has now urged the Commissioner for immediate action against her husband and his accomplice, holding them responsible for any harm that may come to her, her son, and her mother.
