It’s all bogus! DK doubts Covid numbers

Bengaluru: The tussle between the BJP and the Congress over the Mekedatu yatra from January 9, has taken a new turn with KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar accusing the BJP government of giving a ‘bogus’ figure on Corona cases with the sole intention of scuttling the yatra.

Talking to reporters, Shivakumar said the previous BJP government headed by B.S.Yediyurappa did not impose curfew despite the Case Positivity Rate (CPR) reaching 39 per cent. Now the CPR is hardly 3.95 per cent and the number of people in hospitals is negligible. This has given rise to a feeling that the Corona figure is bogus, he said. Meanwhile, to counter the Congress padayatra, the JD(S) is embarking on a 15-day ‘Janata Jaladhare’ rally.
