Leaders, activists joining Congress as there is no future in BJP-JDS: DKS

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: With no future in the BJP and JDS parties, leaders and workers from these parties are joining the Congress in large numbers, according to Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. “In some villages, only one or two may have left our party due to differences. Five fingers joined into a fist, five guarantees joined together, and the hand became strong.

Only the Congress party can bring good to the people,” he said. JDS and BJP leaders and workers from Channapatna joined Congress at the Ramanagara Congress office after DK Shivakumar addressed the media. “It is difficult for Kumaraswamy to retain his position. BJP leaders will respond to Kumaraswamy. I will respond when the time comes regarding whether his party will remain strong or not. I also know how they are treating him in the BJP,” he added.

'Kumaraswamy is another name for lies'; Responding to Kumaraswamy's statement that this government is going to commit suicide, DK Shivakumar said, “Kumaraswamy doesn’t respond to words; lies are another name for him.” Reacting to R Ashok's statement that KJ George had made a deal with Yogeshwar three months ago, Shivakumar said, “It is all a lie.” Responding to claims that votes are being sought emotionally in Channapatna, he clarified, “We don’t ask for votes based on emotion. We ask for votes based on livelihood.''
