A senior citizen has raised concern about the lack of action by the JP Nagar police after he filed a complaint with evidence regarding the theft of his mobile phone. The elderly man claims that despite providing CCTV footage showing two miscreants snatching his iPhone 13 Pro, the police failed to register his complaint properly or take appropriate action. The incident took place on October 31 when Gurunath went to Sarakki market to buy banana leaves. Two individuals allegedly distracted him and stole his mobile phone from his pocket.
The entire act was captured on CCTV, clearly showing the thieves diverting Gurunath’s attention by throwing money on the ground, and then fleeing the scene with the phone. After the theft, Gurunath promptly filed a complaint. However, he claims the police refused to accept the complaint initially, only recording it briefly before sending him away. Despite the evidence from the CCTV footage, the police allegedly did not register an FIR or pursue the thieves. Gurunath is now questioning why the police showed negligence in investigating the crime.
