In a major decision, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda) on Thursday decided to withdraw all the 900 sites allotted to beneficiaries under the controversial 50: 50 scheme between 2020-24. A decision to this effect was taken by the Muda board headed by chairman G Lakshmikanth Reddy, who is also deputy commissioner of Mysuru. The meeting also decided to write to the government to cancel the allotment after completion of the probe by the single-judge enquiry commission headed by retired justice P N Desai.

This decision came after the distribution of 14 sites under the scheme to the CM's wife B M Parvathi, came under a cloud. Speaking to reporters, Chamaraja MLA K Harishgowda said all board members wanted Muda to come clean from the allegations. He said he favoured filing an FIR against officials responsible for not recording and documenting the previous Muda meeting proceedings.
