Starting today, major traffic changes will be implemented due to ongoing construction by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) near Shivaji Circle and Jyothi Cafe in the Shivaji Nagar Traffic Police Station limits. The construction work will result in the closure of one side of the road for all types of vehicles for a period of 30 days. During this period, vehicles travelling from Balekundri to Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand via Shivaji Circle will be prohibited.

Similarly, vehicles travelling along Shivaji Road from Shivaji Circle towards Jyothi Cafe and the BMTC Bus Stand will also face restrictions. To mitigate traffic disruptions, alternate routes have been suggested for commuters. For vehicles coming from Balekundri to Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand, drivers should take a left turn at the Traffic Head Quarter Junction, proceed along Infantry Road, and then turn left at Central Street Junction to reach the BMTC Bus Stand. For vehicles travelling from Shivaji Road to Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Stand, drivers should take a right turn at Shivaji Circle, continue along Venkataswamy Naidu Road, take a left turn at Balekundri Junction, then turn left again at the Traffic Head Quarter Junction.

From there, continue along Infantry Road and take a final left turn at Central Street Junction to reach the BMTC Bus Stand. Motorists are advised to plan their trips in advance and use these alternative routes to avoid delays. Traffic authorities have urged commuters to cooperate with the temporary traffic regulations and exercise patience as the construction work progresses.
