Bengaluru: Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa has confirmed that the exams scheduled for March 22 will not be postponed due to the Karnataka Bandh. Speaking in Bengaluru, he stated that the exams for classes 7, 8, and 9, which were already planned for that day, will proceed as scheduled. He emphasised that even if a bandh takes place, the exams will continue without disruption.

Bangarappa appealed to the activists organising the bandh to ensure that no obstacles are created for the students. "I urge the protesters to respect the importance of these exams, as they are crucial for the children's future," he said. He reassured that the bandh organisers are not advising students to skip their exams and urged children not to be confused. The exams for classes 6, 7, 8, and 9 will proceed as planned, and any changes to the schedule would cause unnecessary difficulty. He stressed that postponing the exams is not in the best interest of the students.
