Krisha Advani: The rise of a hybrid influencer

With a blend of impressive hustle and consistent fashion, travel and fitness content, Krisha Advani captivates over 71K fans, redefining influence.

Bengaluru: In a bustling Bengaluru café, amidst the clinking of iced coffee glasses, News Trail recently caught up with Krisha Advani, a 22-year-old content creator who's redefining what it means to "do it all”. With a firm footing in both the corporate and creator worlds, Krisha is not just another Instagram influencer; she's a storyteller, a strategist, and quite possibly a master of time management.

Krisha Advani, known online as @krisha_advani, is a rapidly rising star in the Indian influencer scene from the South. She captivates her audience of over 71,000 Instagram followers with a curated blend of fitness, fashion, travel, and genuine personal insights.

Think of her as your digital guide to the good life, seamlessly weaving together high-end fashion hauls, glimpses of exotic getaways, and authentic peeks into her daily life through engaging vlogs. Her elegant aesthetic and aspirational content resonate deeply, further amplified by her bilingual approach which broadens her reach.

Genesis of a digital journey

Krisha's journey into content creation began, like many others, amidst the quiet of a pandemic lockdown. "I started making very silly Tik-Toks during COVID, just for fun," she laughs, recalling the playful origins. When TikTok was banned in India, Instagram Reels emerged, offering a new direction.

"I made a few Reels here and there, and then suddenly I got a job offer to create content for a company. So, I took it." For two years, Krisha honed her skills as a professional content creator, though not for her personal brand. It wasn't until college wrapped up that a thought sparked: why not return to what she loved? About a year and a half ago, she went diving back into content creation, this time on her own terms. "I didn't know what I was doing at first. I was just trying trending stuff," she admits.

But with a little guidance from a friend and some trial and error, she found her groove: storytelling. Her videos transformed into relatable, humorous, and heartfelt snippets from her own life. "Even if no one watches them, I will. It's my personal diary."

Evolving niche

That blend of personal yet polished content is precisely what has attracted her growing audience. "I script everything," she reveals. "Either I brainstorm or I take something that's happened in my life and turn it into a story that's worth telling”. Her content now comfortably resides in the lifestyle and fitness space, though she's quick to assert that she doesn't believe in rigid niches. "My life changes, so my content does too." Instagram remains her primary platform.

"I was already using it as a consumer, so it felt natural," she explains. While YouTube might be on the horizon, she's in no rush, her focus right now is doing what feels real and balancing it with a hectic day job. "People are always surprised to find out I work full-time too," she says. "But I like it that way. I enjoy doing both".

Business of influence

Despite her packed schedule, Krisha's growth has been consistent, especially after launching story-driven series that resonated deeply with her audience. Brand collaborations naturally followed, proving successful. "There's definitely a lot of money in this industry," she notes. "But from a brand perspective, I understand why they choose us.

Influencers build real communities. We post every day, sharing our lives. That trust and bond is powerful." And what about the inevitable critics? "Constructive feedback? Love it. Hate comments? I honestly don't care," she says with a shrug. "Sometimes I'll wish I did a video differently, but that's part of putting yourself out there."

Krisha sees the influencer space evolving rapidly. "A few years ago, it was easier to grow. Now, people are so creative. The bar is higher, but that's exciting. It pushes you to do better."

How does she define success?

"If I'm making content that inspires people, brings value, and I enjoy the process, that's success," she states simply.

"The growth, the money, that's just a bonus." Her fans might adore her content, but what they might not realize is that she's achieving all of this while holding down a demanding corporate role and some how still finding time to hop on a flight to Ibiza.
