Bengaluru: Aaru_sann, a magnetic 24-year-old digital creator, has not just entered the online arena, but has seized it, commanding an impressive following of 89,000 across Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube.
“I love keeping my followers on their toes. My real name is still a mystery to them, and I enjoy having them guess it every now and then,” she told News Trail in a recent interview on how her true identity remains a closely guarded "guessing name," a clever element that only amplifies her allure among dedicated followers.
The day the shaker was empty
“I had a private account back then with barely 70 followers,” she recalled, reflecting on how it all started just eight months ago. “One day, I ran out of protein powder” she laughed and that random moment unexpectedly marked the beginning of her content journey on Instagram, she said.
What started as casual glimpses into her life soon gained traction, and she now creates consistent, full-fledged content. She said it was her own fascination with her everyday moments that pushed her to share them online. “Luckily for me, it resonated with people, they found it both relatable and in triguing,” she added.
Mentor-creator
Aaru shared that she studied biochemistry and has always had a deep love for organic chemistry. More recently, she taught herself design and has been documenting that creative journey online as well. While she once worked in the corporate world, she realized the rigid structure didn’t align with her aspirations.
“I have bigger plans and things I want to do,” she said. Today, Aaru wears many hats -- she creates content, DJs, and even manages a close friend, whom she’s actively mentoring to reach a global stage. “Imaginary Friends Manage ment reached out and asked me to join their team,” she shared excitedly.
“I’ll be managing some of their incredibly talented artists who deserve far more recognition, and I’m so thrilled to be working with them.” The company is also known for representing Indian rapper Hanumankind, making the opportunity even more significant for her.
Master of many trades
She does not stick to a single niche, instead, describes her self as a “jack of all trades and master of all.”
Her content is grounded, simple, and refreshingly real. Her content is a vibrant mix of quirky daily mini vlogs, tech reviews, wellness and fitness up dates, and her journey through various hobbies. At the heart of it all is her close-knit community of followers, whom she fondly describes as “wholesome.”
“My first viral moment was a video of me burping out names,” she said with a laugh, amused by the fact that her breakout moment came from such a bizarre and funny talent.
“My life is probably similar to many others, but it’s the way I choose to present it that makes it stand out,” she said. Her con tent covers a broad spectrum of topics, allowing her to connect with a wide and varied audience. Aaru creates using minimal, easy to handle equipment, proving that great content doesn’t require an elaborate setup.
She believes many people shy away from content creation because they assume it demands expensive gear or advanced editing skills. “For anyone starting out, I always say get a mic and a camera. Not all at once, but gradually, as you keep creating,” she advised.
Brand deals with personal touch
“I am so grateful that I have the autonomy to choose whom I want to work with”, Aaru re marked how healthy and supportive her current man agement is. She has done several brand collaborations with health and wellness brands which is thorougly enjoying.
She spoke about how in the beginning there were brands who scammed and overworked her, and then she decided to work with a management which has helped a lot along in her journey. She has seamlessly inte grated personal experiences with high-profile partnerships, working with names like PUMA India, Decathlon, boAt, Wefit, Budweiser, and Bummer. This ability to blend authen ticity with commercial col laborations has made them a sought-after influencer for brands aiming to connect with a dynamic and diverse audience.
Driven by purpose
Aaru is a strong advocate for free education and firmly be lieves that access to learning shouldn't be limited by paywalls. This belief is also why she's hesitant to launch a paid subscription on Instagram.
“If I wouldn’t pay for this myself, I don’t think others should either,” she said. When it comes to content creation, Aaru encourages people to step in only if they genuinely feel called to do it.
“Ask yourself if you really want to do this,” she advised. She believes that those who often thrive on social media are the ones with a lot to say but few platforms to say it and once they find their space, they flourish as creators. Aaru also shared a powerful message about independence.
“It’s been three years since I be came financially independent, and I believe it’s incredibly im portant,” she said. She emphasized that while not everyone may be fully in dependent yet, developing self awareness is a crucial first step. Her perspective, she shared, is deeply influenced by her parents, who have been lifelong role models and the inspiration behind her drive for self-sufficiency.
