Bengaluru: The Karnataka Lokayukta on Wednesday raided the residences of three senior government officials in Bengaluru, suspecting them of possessing wealth disproportionate to their income and illegally transferring government land. The raids were conducted at the residences of IAS officer Vasanthi Amar, BBMP Executive Engineer Errappa Reddy, and Town Planning Assistant Director Bagli Maruthi.

Searches were conducted in localities like RT Nagar under the operation led by SP Vamsi Krishna. All three are suspected of holding assets beyond their known income. They are also under scrutiny for illegal land transfers. Notably, Errappa Reddy was recently caught red handed accepting a Rs 10 lakh bribe.

The Lokayukta is reviewing documents and property records seized during the raids, which were part of a larger anti-corruption drive. In June 2025, similar raids at 45 locations across Karnataka uncovered assets worth over Rs 34.90 crore from eight officials.

Similar raids were conducted in Ballari, Bengaluru, Kolar, Kalaburagi, and other districts in March and April, unearthing as sets including luxury cars and gold.
