Arpitha Abhishek and the art of finding meaning in everyday life
In the bustling digital world, where perfection often feels staged, Arpitha Abhishek invites her audience not just to watch, but to live alongside her.
Known on Instagram as @arpithabhishek, with a loyal following of over 1,53,000, she has carved out a unique space as an architect of everyday joy – a Bengaluru-based creator who finds profound moments nestled within the chaos of family life.
Speaking to News Trail in an exclusive interview, Arpitha reflected on her inspiring journey towards becoming a weight-loss coach, manifestation coach and a prominent digital presence.
A childhood surrounded by cameras
“I never thought this was my destiny,” says Arpitha, reflecting on how she never imagined she would one day create and share content about her own life online. What began unexpectedly soon revealed itself as something she was meant to pursue.
Growing up around cameras felt natural to her. With a father who worked as an actor and producer in the Kannada film industry, she spent much of her childhood watching shoots and observing behind-the-scenes work.
“That is how I grew up,” she recalls. Yet, despite being surrounded by the limelight, she always preferred staying behind the camera, capturing moments rather than posing for them.
Her journey into content creation began when a friend introduced her to TikTok. She started posting a variety of videos – hula-hooping, dancing, talking and lip-syncing.
“It was a platform where I could showcase my talents, and it eventually went viral,” she says. When TikTok was banned, she shifted to Instagram and, as fate would have it, connected with audiences once again. One of her early videos went viral, reaching 12 million views overnight.
Reinventing herself through experience
Before fully committing to content creation, Arpitha became a weight-loss coach. After facing health complications and being advised to lose weight, she immersed herself in research on nutrition, diets and overall wellness.
“There is a common misunderstanding about losing weight – that we shouldn’t eat much or must stop eating. That’s not true at all,” she explains.
Her personal experience and growing knowledge inspired her to get certified, and she now shares her learnings through classes and online platforms.
Arpitha also credits her husband, Abhishek, for introducing her to the concept of manifestation. He gifted her a book that opened her mind to its principles, techniques and beliefs.
Her curiosity led her to study it in depth and eventually begin teaching it herself. Today, she is guiding her 34th batch of students.
Empowering content
Her focus on content creation sharpened in 2023 after the birth of her child. She enjoys sharing her journey with her followers, 75% of whom are women, and passing on everything she learns along the way.
Her videos cover lifestyle, skincare, wellness, manifestation, motherhood and relationships. “I want to show people who I am without a filter,” she says, noting that most of her content is intentionally raw and unfiltered.
Manifesting success
Arpitha, once an introvert, says old friends and acquaintances now reach out to tell her how proud they are of the person she has become.
Looking ahead, she hopes to venture into the fashion industry alongside her husband. Her advice to everyone is simple yet powerful: “We become what we think.” She believes that manifesting positivity and visualising our best lives is the key to success.
