Navya N C: Bengaluru’s favourite digital corporate narrator
Bengaluru
In the bustling ecosystem of the modern 9-to-5, Navya N C serves as the relatable digital narrator for a generation navigating the corporate maze. On Instagram, @navya_nc is a 26-year-old Bengaluru-based content creator with a loyal community of 1,21,000 followers. Beyond the screen, she balances her online presence with a full-time career as a computer science engineer.
She isn't just another creator; she is the ‘Corporate Girlie’ next door, turning the mundane rhythm of spreadsheets and back-to-back meetings into a shared digital narrative. With a blend of wit, transparency, and aesthetic charm, she pulls back the curtain on the professional grind. Navya transforms the exhaustion of adulthood into a collective conversation, proving that while the climb is steep, you don’t have to hike it alone.
Relating to corporate humour
“I was always involved in theatre and other extracurricular activities during college, which inspired me to start creating content online. That’s how I began making videos towards the end of 2024”, Navya told News Trail in an exclusive interview about her journey into content creation. Her third video, a satirical and relatable enactment of a conversation between an employee and a manager, went viral, garnering one million views.
The overwhelming response encouraged her to explore the office humour genre further and create more such content. Speaking about her rapid rise on social media, Navya said the growth happened so quickly that she barely noticed it. “I only realised it when I reached 100,000 followers”, she said. She enjoys travelling and trekking, and has also started sharing her trekking vlogs on YouTube.
Striking the balance
Navya shared that she carefully balances her full-time job with her online platform by noting down ideas whenever inspiration strikes and dedicating her weekends to filming. “On weekends, I record two to three videos at once so that I can upload them consistently throughout the week”, she said.
She admitted that collaborations with fellow creators can be challenging, as aligning schedules, locations, and availability often requires careful planning amidst their busy routines. Explaining her creative process, she begins by scripting her ideas, then proceeds to shoot the videos and edit them entirely on her phone.
Though she is a Kannadiga, Navya chooses to create content in English. She believes this helps her connect better with professionals from corporate backgrounds who can relate to the humour and workplace scenarios she portrays. “Even if the audience is from North India or outside India, they can easily understand”, she noted.
On staying relevant and producing fresh content, Navya pointed out that corporate life, much like other relatable themes, changes with seasons and quarters. “There is something happening in every quarter”, she explained, citing examples such as HR initiatives like Secret Santa during Christmas and the amusing gift exchanges that follow, which offer ample material for engaging content.
Further up the ladder
Navya said she does not intend to pursue content creation full-time at the moment, describing it as an unstable field. However, she remains open to exploring it more seriously in the future. Reflecting on her journey so far, she highlighted a few significant milestones - being interviewed by Under25, a collaboration video with her friend that garnered 17 million views, and an opportunity to feature in a JordIndian YouTube video, where she worked alongside Naser Al Azzeh and Vineeth Kumar.
Looking ahead, Navya hopes to build a strong and loyal community and aims to be recognised as a personality beyond just her content. “I want to diversify to more audiences", she said, expressing her desire to expand her reach. Offering advice to aspiring creators, she emphasised the importance of consistency and self-belief.
“You never know what your niche will be, so just write a good script and record it. Give yourself a consistent year to see the results”, she suggested. She also shared a broader life lesson - to remain independent, avoid relying on others, and work hard to create opportunities on your own.
