From racing against Bengaluru’s legendary traffic to crafting heartfelt family milestones that stop your scroll, Harshit Chajjed (Harshitchajjed) is a digital storyteller who masterfully balances chaos and comfort. This Marwadi mumma’s boy has far more to offer his audience. The Bengaluru-based content creator has built a community of over 238,000 Instagram followers through his sharp wit, relatable humour, and unapologetically authentic content. It is this unique ability to find the extraordinary in the everyday that has cemented his place as a multi-dimensional force in the Indian creator economy, which earned him a well-deserved nomination at the National Creators Awards.
Harshit Chajjed’s rise
“The camera was never new to me”, recalled Harshit while speaking to News Trail in an exclusive interview about his journey into the world of content creation. he shared that his friend, creator Cassius Clyde Pereira (Cassy Pereira), had been making videos since 2020. Although Harshit never posted content on his own account during those early years, he frequently appeared in Cassy’s videos and actively assisted him behind the scenes. In 2022, the duo joined Under 25, a media production company, where Harshit pursued a role in sales while Cassy worked in social media.
Despite being in different departments, Harshit continued collaborating closely with Cassy on video content for the company. As their passion for content creation grew, the two began considering a full-time career in the creator space. However, Harshit chose to contribute from a different angle, suggesting that he support Cassy by handling brand negotiations and partnerships instead. This idea eventually led to the creation of ‘Clout chasers’, a talent management company co-founded by Harshit and Cassy.
How he built his niche
“Through Clout chasers, we got the opportunity to travel to Mumbai and truly experience the industry firsthand”, he said. Harshit describes his content primarily as comedic sketches rooted in situations relatable to Indian households, though he has experimented across a wide range of genres. Reflecting on the early days of his personal content journey, he shared that when he launched his own account in mid-2023, he brainstormed ten different video ideas spanning ten distinct genres and created all of them to understand what suited his personality and resonated best with the algorithm.
“Your first 10 videos are definitely going to be bad, but you need to learn from them and understand what needs to change for the content to work”, he advised aspiring creators. According to Harshit, content centred around his “Marwadi angle” and “cricket angle” received the strongest response from audiences. Among all the videos he has created so far, his favourite remains the Indian Premier League (IPL)-themed content, particularly the videos featuring collaborations with his mother. A cricket fanatic himself, Harshit teamed up with his friend Rayhaan Shaik (rayhaanmayhem), who also loves the sport, to pursue a passion project together. They went on to launch a joint Instagram account titled ‘Cricket Machas’, dedicated to cricket-centric comedy content.
Content with a purpose
Harshit said that the creators he most enjoys collaborating with are Cassy and Rayhaan Shaik, explaining that both bring strong creative ideas and diverse perspectives to the table, which enhances their collaborative work. Speaking about brand collaborations, he noted that his long-standing experience in the industry and prior exposure to negotiations have helped him develop a strong understanding of the creator market. “People should have a safety net while exploring this field, but they also shouldn’t be afraid to take the leap”, he said.
Describing one of the biggest milestones in his career, Harshit recalled being invited to the Meta office along with Rayhaan to discuss how brands can better optimise creator collaborations. He described the experience as a significant achievement in his journey as a creator and entrepreneur. Reflecting on his larger purpose as a content creator, Harshit said, “I just want to make people happy, because there is already so much going on”, and added that one of his personal goals for this year is to take his mother on an international trip. “Your niyat will define your niyathi”, he concluded, leaving aspiring creators with a thoughtful message about the importance of intention and purpose in shaping one’s destiny.
