Karnataka women continue to fire  in unison to notch up their 6th consecutive win in a rain-truncated  quarterfinal match of the Women’s  Senior One Day Trophy. At M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on  Tuesday, they registered a convincing five-wicket win over Madhya  Pradesh.

Batting first, Madhya Pradesh  started on an ominous note and they  were not up to the contest as Shreyanka and Prathyoosha took wickets  in regular intervals and at the end  scored 169 for 9 in 48 overs. K’taka  overhauled the target in 42.2 overs,  thanks to Prathyoosha’s unbeaten 45  and Sateesh’s 43 which consolidated  the chase. Namma women will face  Punjab in semifinals and with the  form everyone is in--it’s difficult to  stop them lifting the trophy.
