Bengaluru: Following the two incidents involving the towing vehicles, which gathered widespread publicity due to viral videos, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Dr B.R. Ravikanthe Gowda has provided details regarding both the incidents on his official Twitter handle.

He stated that the Jeevan Bhima Nagar incident is totally false and misleading and a notice has been served to the person who shot the video.

After the video of the JB Nagar towing vehicle went viral, an enquiry was made from the DCP level. The finding of the inquiry is that the S.J. Abraham, working in Flipkart, had parked his two-wheeler on Friday afternoon at around 4.30 pm under a no-parking board.

The ASI of the towing vehicle made an announcement to remove the vehicle, but there was no response. Hence the vehicle was towed.

Abraham who came after a few minutes found his vehicle being towed away and ran behind the towing truck. As the driver felt there could be a traffic jam if the towing vehicle was stopped on the spot, he halted it 15 to 20 metres away.

After Abraham admitted his mistake, his vehicle was given back after a warning, the Joint Commissioner’s two page posts on twitter states.

Abraham who was called for the enquiry has said that he has not paid any money for the towing vehicle or the ASI for releasing his vehicle. The same has been mentioned in his statements during the inquiry.
