Infant dies in Kolar, parents cry foul

Kolar: Alleged negligence of duty doctors led to the death of a three-monthold infant following which parents of the infant staged a protest at the Govt primary health care centre at Somayajanahalli Village in Srinivaspura. The parents alleged that on Thursday, the baby was administered Pentavalet vaccine. The next day the baby was again brought the PHC but the duty doctor Dr Sowmya allegedly asserted that the baby was alright and recommended further treatment at a private hospital at Srinivaspura. While the baby was being shifted to the hospital, it died following which the parents alleged medical negligence.
