Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a married couple has put up a post on social media for alleged wife-swapping. The cyber police have taken up a suo-motu case and arrested the husband, identified as Vinay Kumar, in this connection.

The police are trying to ascertain if the couple were part of any sex scam or had just put the post for fun. The couple had put up the post on Twitter. After seeing this, a user had tagged the post to the city police commissioner.

The South East CEN police who took up a case following instructions from their higher ups managed to trace the couple, who were residing near Parappana Agrahara.
Through Twitter the couple were reportedly inviting married couples from Bengaluru for a swap. The wife has put her age as 25 years and her husband’s age as 30 years. The Twitter account has 1,226 followers. The husband was arrested by the South East police on Thursday. His wife, who hails from Magadi, was his colleague at an electronics shop. Later they fell in love and got married in 2019, despite objections from their parents.

The couple has an 18-month-old child and were staying at Singasandra near Parappana Agrahara. They are alleged to have shared unnatural fantasies. The police suspect that the two had opened accounts on different social media and made money by posting their obscene pictures. They were also addicted to fantasy videos.

After going through their post on Twitter, if anybody contacted them, the couple would give them an ID in an app for further communication. Messages were exchanged with each other and the husband would invite them to his house in Singasandra.

“The husband would film when the stranger was having sex with his wife. If the stranger approved, he would post the video live. He would be satisfied with the money that was given by the stranger. According to preliminary investigations it appears that it was not the case of wife-swapping,” said an officer on part of investigations.

“Preliminary investigations suggest that there was no wife swapping. The modus operandi of the couple is to send obscene photographs to the stranger in order to provoke them. If the latter showed interest, he would be invited to their house,” Srinath M. Joshi, DCP (South East) told the media.
