Police crack 7-yr-old murder mystery
Bengaluru: In a plot which seems no less thrilling than that of a commercial movie, a woman who was having an extramarital affair with her neighbour, colluded with her husband to murder the paramour after the relationship reportedly went awry and then travelled to Andhra Pradesh to dispose of the body. The incident happened in 2015 and the cops have now cracked the case.
Sources said the husband and wife started quarrelling after he came to know about the relationship and the woman, probably fearing her husband’s wrath, claimed that she was being forced to carry on with the affair. The couple then decided to kill the paramour and lured him to their house where they murdered him and later shifted the body in a bag on a bike and travelled to Palasamudram in AP to dispose it. The couple had also taken their small child with them.
Fearing that they would get caught if they returned to the city, the couple stayed back in Andhra Pradesh where they worked as tailors. A few months back, they came to Bengaluru to check if they were safe and assuming that nothing would happen, shifted to Kamakshipalya. The victim’s friend, who was aware of the disappearance of the couple in 2015, reported the matter to the police.
After the victim went missing, his parents had filed a missing complaint with the police who investigated the case for over three years but could not find any lead. After the tip off from the friend, the police reopened the case and solved it.
