BJP accelerates divisive campaign

Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accelerated the polarisation campaign by tossing up a host of new issues, many of them appear to be utterly laughable. According to the party’s internal sources, the party is perturbed at the anti-BJP mood of the voters and has decided to gear up its communally divisive campaign.
Only a couple of days ago, chief minister Yogi Adityanath came up with the theory of ‘Ghazwa e Hind’ trying to conquer India and the BJP would be the best defender of nation against such threats. The ‘Ghazwa e Hind’ literally translates into ‘Battle for India’ and is a terrorist organization related with the Middle East. It is said such weird statements stem from BJP’s internal survey that it might be losing a hundred of the 113 seats in the Assembly for which the polling has already been held.
But Prime Minister Narendra Modi came up with still more laughable idea when he told an election gathering that TMC is claiming to be in the electoral fray in Goa to divide the Hindu votes and ensure defeat of the BJP in Goa. Mr. Modi’s actual target was SP whose supremo Akhilesh Prasad Yadav has been seen with TMC leader and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.
It seems frustration is building up within the BJP over lack of traction towards its electoral promises and is floating a new theory on a daily basis. Some ministers and sitting MLAs have even adopted intimidating tone.
The BJP’s candidate from Domariaganj seat declared that Muslims would be asked to apply tilak if he scores a victory. When media asked him as to how he could force an entire community to do this in a democratic society, he attributed his statement to threat from some unnamed terrorist organisation.
