RSS veteran Kalladka: Farm laws will be reintroduced later

Mangaluru: RSS veteran Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat feels that even though the three farm laws are all set to be withdrawn by the Central government, they would be reintroduced later with some minor changes.

Speaking to the media, Bhat felt the farm laws are very helpful to farmers. “However, the Centre failed to convince agitating farmers on the benefits. The opposition parties were not even ready to discuss the laws and their merits which made the government withdraw the laws. However, they will be reintroduced,” he asserted.

Referring to the introduction of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by the government, Bhat recalled that there was widespread opposition even to the introduction of the CAA in the country.

He felt it would be a great loss if the farm laws are not introduced as they are expected to help farmers get higher prices for their produce and prevent them from being cheated by middlemen.
