2 women killed in separate incidents

A security guard allegedly stabbed his wife to death on Friday at Channasandra in Ramamurthy Nagar police limits. The police have identified the deceased as Kamala Devi (47), and arrested her husband, Tej Bahadur.

The police said that Tej Bahadur stabbed Kamala Devi thrice with a knife. It is alleged that the accused, who has been staying separately at Bannerghatta while his wife used to reside at Channasandra with her children. It is said that the accused, suspecting his wife’s character, used to quarrel with her often.

The police said that Tej Bahadur met Kamala Devi on Friday night while their son was not at home. He allegedly objected to her speaking with someone else over the phone. In a fit of rage, he stabbed her to death.

In another incident, a 28-year-old man strangled his wife to death using a veil. The incident took place at Muneshwaranagar near Sunkadakatte. The police have identified the victim as Soumya (25) and the accused as Yogish. According to the police, Yogish used to demand Soumya to bring dowry. The police have registered a case.
