Act against mischief mongers targeting Muslim traders: HDK

Former CM and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy has urged Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to take stern action against some miscreants who have uploaded messages in social media asking people not to buy the goods sold by Muslims.

“The CM has become a puppet in the hands of some organisations. So far no action has been initiated against these miscreants who have put up such messages on social media platforms. The government must not keep quiet”, he told reporters at Vidhana Soudha here on Tuesday.

The former CM said the chief minister and home minister do not belong to any community but to 6.5 crore people of the state. The duty of the government is to protect one and all. The government cannot function by protecting only one community. Kannadigas will not tolerate this and will dump such a government, he said.
