Live in peace: Akkai

“Why destroy ourselves using religion as a weapon, when all of us can live together in peace?’’ asks Akkai Padmashali, an activist working for the welfare of sexual minorities.

“All of us have red blood running in our veins and all of us can live harmoniously as a family. Dividing people in the name of religion, caste or color, can only bring destruction and nothing else. The world belongs to humans and humans belong to the world,” said Akkai Padmashali.

Explaining the ethics of journalism, Akkai expressed confidence that News Trail would play a vital role in nurturing the youngsters and directing them towards serious journalism.

Speaking about the women, Akkai said that the duties and responsibilities of the women are not just confined to the kitchen or a house. Every woman has the right to get educated and work in society. She said a woman has the potential to bring about a change globally.
