CT Ravi, DKS trade brickbats

Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar and BJP General Secretary CT Ravi got into a war of words on Saturday.

The latter had mocked Congress’ protests demanding the arrest of former Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Minister KS Eshwarappa in the case pertaining to the death of the contractor Santosh Patil.

Ravi sarcastically remarked: “DK Shivkumar is an honest man. His charisma is comparable to that of Anna Hazare,” adding that it was not in Congress’ nature to protest.

The Congress bigwig returned Ravi’s sarcasm in equal measure. “CT Ravi is a prominent man. It wouldn’t be prudent on my part to speak about him. We have documented instances of him calling up authorities and threatening them. We will release the evidence in good time,” Shivkumar said.
