Former minister TB Jayachandra injured in accident

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka minister and Congress leader TB Jayachandra reportedly sustained injuries in a road accident when the car he was travelling in overturned on the Bengaluru-Pune National Highway (NH-48) near Seebi village in the wee hours of Wednesday.

As per reports, the former minister was on his way to Bengaluru after attending an event at Sira when the incident took place around 12.45 am. The driver of the car lost control over the wheel after a tyre burst and the car overturned.

Witnessing the accident, locals rushed to the spot and broke open the glass panes of the vehicle and rescued Jayachandra, an eyewitness informed. The driver and gunner escaped unhurt.

Jayachandra is currently receiving treatment at Vikram Hospital on Millers Road, Bengaluru. Doctors said that he is recuperating.
