Optometry fest held in city

Bengaluru: Around 500 students congregated in an inter-collegiate Optometry Cultural Fest held in Bengaluru.

The event titled ‘Reflektionz’ was held at the Sankara Eye Hospital campus and has been termed the largest Optometry Cultural Fest. Sankara College of Optometry organized the 9th edition of Reflektionz with 22 events in which students from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry participated.

The event also celebrated India’s 75th year of Independence by reflecting on ‘India at 75’. Actor Avinash participated and highlighted the role played by healthcare workers during the pandemic. “While we are the heroes on screen, all of you are real-life heroes,” he said.

Principal of Sankara College of Optometry Prof Aditya Goyal said that the festival provided a real-life learning platform to students who were involved from planning to execution. Reflektionz was held on May 5-6.
