Bengaluru: Those who make accusatory statements must furnish relevant documents or evidence in support, which in fact, is binding on them. Also, they alone will be held responsible for what they say, Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has said.

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, he said leaders who make such statements must support the talk with proof, which will be subjected to investigation. “We are ready to hand over any such document or evidence furnished by former CM and JD(S) senior leader HD Kumaraswamy to the authorities probing the PSI recruitment scandal,” he said.

Asked about former minister and Congress MLA Priyank Kharge targeting the BJP for converting Vidhana Soudha into a “Corruption Soudha”, Bommai said there was no need for the party to learn anything from Kharge. The Congress party was a Gangothri of Corruption”. Since Priyank belongs to the original Congress camp he will be well versed in it. I see no need for us to take classes from Priyank Kharge, he added.

He claimed that there was a proBJP wave across the state and the party is getting the opportunity to win from many constituencies for the first time because of this positive wave.

Those who are ready to accept the BJP principles and ideologies are welcome.

More and more people are expected to join the BJP in the coming days. The district and state unit will decide who to induct into the party and who not to, he went on to add.

On the opposition to induct new leaders into the BJP, Bommai said the local unit would handle the matter.
