Mysuru: Sometimes one has to go to extreme lengths to fulfill the wishes of parents. A young doctor from Mysuru proved how true this is by getting a wax statue of his late father done and tying the nuptial knot with his life partner in front of it.

The statue was placed on a chair and the marriage rituals were conducted in Mysuru on Saturday. The wax statue was that of M.H. Ramesh, a noted businessman from Chikkamagaluru, who died of Covid in February, 2020. Ramesh was keen on seeing his son Dr Yatish get married but died before it could happen.

Not the one to give up, Dr Yatish got the wax statue done, dressed it up and also put the spectacles of his dad in place to make it look real. The marriage was held at Santhana Ganapati temple near Sindhuvalli Gate in Nanjangud near Mysuru, with Dr Yatish tying the mangalsutra to Dr Apoorva in front of the statue. He got the statue done at Bengaluru’s Bombemane at a cost of Rs 5 lakh Family members were delighted that a son had fulfilled the last wish of his father.
