In a shocking incident, the police found a charred body of an unidentified woman at a desolate area near Kengeri on Sunday. As the body was totally burnt and partially decomposed, the police couldn’t ascertain the identity of the woman. However, it is being said that she is aged between 28 and 30 years.
As per the sources, the body was found in a bushy area near Ramasandra, next to NICE Road on Sunday afternoon.

The police said that it is still unclear whether she was killed elsewhere, but it is certain that the body was burnt at the same spot. The bushes in the area were burnt, police said.
“The body has been burnt beyond recognition which makes it difficult to establish the identity of the deceased,” the police said. It is also speculated that the woman might have been sexually assaulted before being burnt.

Meanwhile the city cops have also sent out an alert to all the police stations across the districts, including Ramanagara and Tumakuru, for any reports of a woman missing, which might match the description of the victim.

After inspection, the body of the deceased has been sent to Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital for autopsy to determine the cause of death. A finger ring, hair strands and pieces of torn cloth belonging to the deceased have also been sent for an examination.

A case had been filed at the Kengeri Police Station regarding the tragic incident. Further investigations are underway.
