Bengaluru:
Eid-ul Adha celebrations are on in the city. And it's showing up on street stalls, advertisement billboards and the smiles on people's faces. Helping spreads the festive joy—many not-forprofit organisations in Bengaluru are on a mission to support the underprivileged during the festive period.
United Foundation (TUF), a City-based NGO that is providing education and housing to the impoverished and supports families during the Covid19 crisis, is collecting money to provide rations to the poor and help students overcome the Covid- 19 setbacks.
"Around 360 students have benefited under this programme," said Syed Habeeb, co-founder of TUF India. For more details on donations, visit the NGO's social media platform, @tufindia. The Hira Welfare Association (HWA) is another organisation that works to empower economically disadvantaged groups and differently-abled individuals, with a strong focus on women and children.
During Eid, HWA distributes ration kits across the city and gifts children with new clothes. Shameer Mohammed, CEO of the organisation said donations and pledges help the organisation change many lives. Details regarding donations can be found on the HWA foundation website
