A day after the death of Ayub Khan, who was stabbed by his own nephew Matheen on Wednesday near Chamarajpet, the Bengaluru police have procured a video clip allegedly sent by the absconding accused explaining the circumstances that led to the murder. In the video clip, the accused can be seen with his face fully covered in black cloth except for his eyes.

The accused claimed that he had stabbed his uncle in retaliation. “My uncle and his son attacked me initially and in a scuffle, I stabbed him in selfdefence,” he claimed.

However, netizens and the Chamarajpet residents have expressed scepticism about Matheen’s claims and demanded that he should be arrested at the earliest.

“As per his statement in the video, it doesn’t look like he has any regrets for killing a person,” a resident from Chamarajpet said on the condition of anonymity. “The accused must be arrested and punished for taking the law into his hands,” he added.

Meanwhile, the police are on the lookout for the accused and a probe has been launched. “We will nab the accused very soon,” Chamarajpet police said.
