Bengaluru Commission rates are going up for securing state government and civic projects projects, claim three contractor associations. After bursting a bombshell a few months ago about the 40% 'cut' prevalent in government departments, Mr Kempanna who is leading the charge for the contractors, claimed that in the BBMP, the commission is as high as 50%.
After writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the rampant corruption in government departments and eliciting no response, the Contractors' Association have decided to write to the PM again. In a politically significant move, association office bearers met Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Siddaramaiah.
Kempanna also accused Horticulture Minister N. Muniratna of going on a 'commission collection spree' in Kolar district.
