Man murders wife, attempts suicide

In a shocking accident a husband tried committing suicide after stabbing his wife to death. The incident took place near the factory gate of Pillagunte Industrial Area, which comes under the Sulibele Police Station jurisdiction.

Ramesh, a resident of Bengaluru murdered his wife by stabbing her 13 times and in his attempt to commit suicide, he stabbed himself in the stomach and neck before going unconscious. Harshita, 24, was severely injured and rushed to a private hospital in Hosakote by locals who saw the two lying in a pool of blood. They took Ramesh to the MEG Hospital.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that Harshita and Ramesh had a love marriage and were living together for close to seven years, and have two children. The couple was separately, staying that Ramesh suspected her fidelity. He persuaded her to meet him near a shop near the factory gate on Saturday, where he stabbed her and then stabbed himself. Sublibele police said that Harshita died on Sunday, while Ramesh is recovering.
