Siddu plans bus yatra

New Delhi: Congress leaders are definitely in the 'yatra mode'. After the Mekedatu yatra led by KPCC chief DK Shivakumar and the Bharat Jodo Yatra helmed by Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition (LOP) in the Assembly Siddaramaiah is planning a bus yatra in the state in the run-up to the Assembly elections.

The yatra is reportedly meant to further capitalize on the gains made from the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Siddaramaiah made the statement during his visit to New Delhi when he called on Congress president elect Mallikarjun Kharge.

“It has not been decided as to when the bus yatra will begin,” he said adding that he may discuss the yatra with colleague KC Venugopal. S i d d a r a m a i a h a l s o called the BJP’s stand on the hike in the SC and ST quota hypocritical.
