Driver flees with Rs 72 lakh cash, employer’s car

Bengaluru: Bytarayanapura police nabbed a person who had escaped with a car and Rs 72 lakh in cash belonging to his employer in the city.

The police identified the accused as Santosh Kumar, 34, a native of Kolar district. It was revealed that Kumar had been working as a driver for a resident, Harish, for almost eight months before fleeing with his cash and car. Based on a complaint, the police tracked him following an intense probe and recovered Ford Endeavour and Rs 72 lakh cash.
